Arrange collection of garden material that is already cut, bagged or piled up. List the materials and loading access so the quote covers the actual collection.
Pricing depends on your garden, access and the work involved. The gardener sets the price; requesting a quote is free.
Send your postcode to check provider availability. No booking is guaranteed until agreed.
Define the job
Use this as a starting brief. Your gardener’s quote should confirm the exact tasks and finish.
Ask before adding work on the day. A changed brief can change the time, equipment and price.
Understand the price
Check collection and disposal, not just the vehicle size. Household garden waste should go to an authorised collector where required; use your national regulator or council guidance to check the arrangements.
Compare quotes on the same basis: the work, total price, materials, waste and timing. An hourly rate alone does not tell you the final cost.

The team discusses your request with suitable providers. Gardeners decide whether to quote, their price and available dates.
Confirm the work and payment arrangements in writing before accepting. A free quote request does not commit you to a booking.
Before you book
Grass, leaves, small branches and hedge cuttings may be collected together when agreed. Soil, rubble, timber and mixed rubbish need their own description and may be excluded. Show the contents of bags as well as their number and size. A per-load price is only useful if the provider defines the allowance and how extra volume or weight is charged.
State whether the waste is already bagged or piled, whether it still needs gathering and how far it is from a vehicle. Photos of a narrow passage or steps help the collector price loading. Bag collection from home can be requested, but cutting vegetation and sorting unknown material are not automatically included in a collection-only quote.
GOV.UK links to the appropriate registers for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Use the relevant route when hiring a private household-waste collector, check the business identity and keep the agreement. Ask the gardening provider to explain its waste arrangements as well. Registration or a council recycling option should never be inferred from an advert or a van alone.
You can request removal alongside mowing, trimming or clearance. Ask for the included materials and total price, then compare it with any separately quoted collection option. A combined visit may have different handling arrangements, but it is not automatically cheaper. Keep the council household service, provider removal and any specialist disposal distinct in the scope.

Requesting quotes is free. If you book through Super, its deposit is based on the total job value and is additional to the gardener’s quoted price. Pay the deposit through Stripe and the gardener their full agreed price directly. If the job is cancelled, your Super deposit is refunded. Confirm the deposit amount, combined total and payment timing before booking.
Read the booking and payment journey →There is no fixed national price for garden waste removal. The gardener sets the quote after reviewing your job. The main factors are waste volume, weight and material, bagged versus loose material, loading time and carry distance and transport and disposal arrangements. Ask for the scope, materials and disposal charges to be clear before you book.
Common green waste includes grass cuttings, leaves, branches, hedge trimmings and plants. Soil, rubble, treated timber, furniture and mixed household waste may be priced differently or excluded. List everything that needs removing so providers can quote accurately and confirm what they can legally carry.
Use the relevant national waste-carrier register when arranging private household-waste collection. GOV.UK links to the registers for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Check the collector’s business identity and agree the removal arrangements before the material leaves.
Many gardeners can remove grass cuttings, hedge trimmings and similar green waste, but it should be included explicitly in the quote. For larger jobs, disposal volume can be a major part of the cost, so compare quotes based on whether removal is included.
Not always. Soil, rubble and construction material are different from normal green waste and may require separate disposal arrangements, vehicles or charges. Tell our team exactly what material is present so the job is only sent to providers able to handle it.
